nobody but my wife will probably read this, but if you are not Karin then hi, welcome to my blog and a small part of my life. I have no idea where this blog is going to go or what I am going to write here, and isn't that just like life!

I spent 3 hours yesterday with an executive coach exploring the crossover between psychological models for developing people and a spiritual approach. Intriguing, came to absolutely no conclusions, but definitely something to explore.

I am completely convinced however that the church ought to embrace some of the psychological models out there at present. Surely one of the church's primary aims must be to develop people. And right now we seem to be trying to do this without most of the 'tools' we need. Like a gardner digging the garden with his hands because he doesn't want to look in the shed as he doesn't know what he might find.
